When being detained Vitebsk oppositionist scotch-taped his mouth

Activist of the “For Freedom” movement Siarhei Parsiukevich was detained in Vitebsk. At the moment of detainment he scotch-taped his mouth mutely, in order he couldn’t be accused of using the obscene language.
Siarhei Parsiukevich’s car was stopped by the GAI (road police) staff near his house. The militiamen said his car allegedly was on the wanted list and offered him to go to the militia office.
It should be reminded that yesterday coordinator of the “For Freedom” movement Uladzimer Katsora was detained in Homel according to the similar script. His car was stopped by the same reason, and later in the militia office the report was drawn up on using the obscene language. The court sentenced Uladzimer Katsora to 7 days of administrative arrest.
The web-site’s www.charter97.org remark: hundreds of the oppositional activists have been arrested on accusation of using obscene language for the last two years. But no militiamen were detained, because, as the people say “they do not occasionally use the obscene language, they speak it”.
