Solidarity Day in Belarus

Today, on October 16, Belarus and the entire world mark the Day of Belarusian Solidarity. Actions urging the Belarusian authorities to release political prisoners and launch democratic reforms are to be held in European and American cities.

In Belarus, people will burn candles of solidarity and come out to squares to commemorate missing and repressed people and to call upon the authorities to start reforms.

Street actions of solidarity, conferences, exhibitions, and presentations of films about Belarus will be held on October 16 in various countries of the world - Poland, Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Czech, and the USA.
