Miasnikovich: «Today’s industry policy practically exhausted»

Today’s industry policy in Belarus has practically exhausted all its possibilities. Mihail Miasnikovich Presidium Chairma of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences said to BELTA correspondent.

According to him, to provide the planned economic growth on the principally new level in future, not traditional, but new technologies, and in first turn the informational ones, are needed.

Besides, the question of diversification of energy resources using is a topical one for Belarus. “We can’t work today only on oil and gas. We must use actively the local fuel, renewable energy sources. For it we also need the modern technologies”,- the NAS head noted.

He also thinks that Belarusian industry consuming today great amount of energy resources with low efficiency should be reoriented to effective technologies.
