What is the March’s outcome?

It’s hard to imagine another European country, except for Russia, that would host a prohibited march for joining the EU, 40 organizers of which would be arrested.

The authorities’ reply to the European March was low and mean: they arrested Anzhalika Borys and dozens of students for coarse language. Hard to say whether the actions of several young people during the March were inspired by provokers.

That was the first time when the authorities have shown a desire to build a “disciplined democracy,” as Vital Taras put it. But even this process is rather demanding due to its purpose of building a democracy.

Street actions are the authorities’ most horrible dreams which they try to block at any cost.

Regimes always collapse after mass manifestations. The Square was Lukashenka’s nightmare, so now all other demonstrations receive such an aggressive feedback.

And at the same time, demonstrations release energy of an independent society. That’s the most popular topic in the Internet. Even the state media have to cover it, in their disgusting manner.

The manifestations break the essence of their system where the people are not to speak but to listen.

How did other nations of Central Europe combat slavery? They held public actions of protest.

The street actions are something which differs Belarus - that still hopes for a democracy - from hopeless Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.

The thing that stroke most on October 14 was the unity of the youth. They knew what they were standing for.
