Ministry of education ready for dialog with opposition

“We are going to cooperate with all people interested, including the opposition representatives,” head of the civil organisation “Belaya Rus”, minister of education Alyaksandr Radzkou said in the interview to “Narodnaya Volia”. – We are interested in the discussion, in hearing different opinions. We stand ready for talks and discussion with everyone”.

The founding congress of “Belaya Rus” has been held recently in the Palace of Republic.

According to Radzkou, creation of “Belaya Rus” was an “act of free will of the society”.

“It is a people’s movement,” Radzkou repeated several times.

The organisation is going to support the policy of the current head of state.

According to Radzkou, there are more than 25.000 members in the organisation.

Some members of “Belaya Rus” are going to take part in the forthcoming parliamentary election.

By the way, Alyaksandr Radzkou has no intentions to leave the post of ministry of education and devoted all his time to “Belaya Rus”.

“It is my social activity, while I am working as a minister,” Alyaksandr Radzkou said.

Radzkou was elected for 5 years.

“We have congresses no less than one in five years, - Radzkou explained. But I wouldn’t plan everything for 5 years, because life is dynamic. In think, we will need a year to make the public organisation more structural, effective, and then time will show.“

How much did dinner cost?

After the founding congress of “Belaya Rus” was ended, all delegates and people presented were invited to dinner.

Shopska salad with slices of ham as appetizer, baked ham with buckwheat porridge and pickled cucumbers as main dish and apple juice and mineral water among drinks were offered. According to waiters, such kind if dinner costs about BYR 30.000. There were almost 400 people in the Place of Republic.

– Who paid for the founding congress and such a good dinner? – “Narodnaya Volia” asked Radzkou.

– We have local associations with their accounts, legal persons, we have sponsors as well. They helped us to rent the palace of Republic and organise dinner for the delegates. In think, it’s right...

But Radzkou found it difficult to say the concrete sum spent on the congress.

– I cant’ say it now, my aids have organised it, but it was a modest event...
