100.000 Belarusians will be restricted to travel abroad

The list of people temporally restricted to travel abroad outside Belarus will include about 100 thousands of people, minister of internal affairs of Belarus General-Lieutenant Uladzimer Navumau said journalists on Saturday.

“This list won’t be short. There will be about 100.000 people,“ the minister said. The persons who have outstanding conviction, maintenance debt will be included into the list, Navumau said.

As it has been informed, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has prepared a project of president’s decree on repeal of permission stamp in passport for travelling abroad from January, 1 2008.

In this connection the Ministry of Internal Affairs is making a data bank of persons temporally restricted to travel abroad. People, who know state secrets, have outstanding conviction and loans will be put on the list.
