Today morning organizers of the rally of entrepreneurs on Kastrychnitskaya Square Alyaksandr Makaeu and Viktar Kryval have been detained in Minsk.
The Charter’97 press-center has been informed about that by an opposition activist Vyachaslau Siuchyk. As said by him, Makaeu was detained by policemen right in his apartment. They stormed the apartment when Makaeu’s wife opened the door to come with their child to school.
Details of Viktar Makaeu’s arrest are still unknown. It is known that in Salihorsk police is keeping guard near the apartment of one of the organizers of the protest, Alyaksandr Tsetsyra.
On December 8 an applicant for holding the protest rally, Viktar Kryval was called from the department of law and order protection of Minsk city executive committee. A policeman told him that on December 10 Viktar Kryval is to come to the prosecutor’s office of Minsk at 10 a.m. In case the applicant won’t come, police is to take him there forcibly. “We have been given such a task,” the policeman said.
Phone invitations to the prosecutor’s office have been received by other applicants for the meeting: Aleh Shabetnik, Alyaksandr Tsetsura, Viktar Kalej, Alyaksandr Makaeu and Alyaksandr Talstyka. However, as said by Viktar Kryval, “nobody is going to go anywhere without a written notification”.
On the same day the entrepreneur was invited to the prosecutor’s office of Uzda district by a writ given by policemen a day before. A deputy prosecutor V.M. Afanasenka offered the applicant of the rally to sign a caution for holding an unsanctioned action on December 10 in Minsk on Kastrychnitskaya Square.
Viktar Kryval refused to do so. A deputy prosecutor invited a policeman on duty and in his presence served upon the entrepreneur the official warning.
As we have informed, the rally of entrepreneurs is to take place on December 10 at the noon on Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk. Participants of the rally are to demand reversal of some Lukashenka’s decrees which have made work of private entrepreneurs in the country more difficult.
