As leaders of movement of entrepreneurs think, about 30.000 people took part in actions of protest throughout the country on 10 December. Leu Margolin and Alyaksandr Taustyka said it on the press conference in Minsk.

According to A. Taustyka, the agreement was reached on 19 December that leaders of the entrepreneurs’ movement would have consultations with representatives of government and deputies of the “house of representatives.”

“But though the chairman of the commission at the “house of representatives” Anatol Paulovich, who is dealing with problems of business development, said no repressions would be taken against organisers, our people were detained. I do not exclude there will be nobody to go to negotiations on the appointed day – on 19 December. All our people will be in prisons,” L. Margolin stressed.

It should be reminded 8 detained people, including leaders of entrepreneurs’ movement Viktar Garbachou, Viktar Kryval, Viktar Kalei and Alyaksandr Tsetsura, were guarded to the court of the Central District today. Viktar Garbachou and Alyaksandr Tsetsura have already been sentenced to 15 and 10 days of administrative arrest on fabricated accusations. One more entrepreneur, Alyaksandr Makaeu, had trial in the court of the Maskouski District. He was sentenced to 7 days of arrest.

Leu Margolin urged to support the initiative of beginning a strike form 1 January.

It should be reminded that the decision on beginning a 30-days strike of individual entrepreneurs from 1 January was taken following the results of consultation between representatives of the initiative “For Free Development of Enterprise” and Republican Coordination Council of Entrepreneurs held in Minsk on 30 November.

In L. Margolin’s view, an entrepreneur, according to laws, has right to have a 30 days holiday without taxes and lease payments. “So, we will offer entrepreneurs to write applications for holiday and register it in the bodies of executive authorities,” L. Margolin said.
