President of Russia arrived in Minsk

Vladimir Putin arrived in Belarus on the official visit and went to the meeting with Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

The airplane of Russian president landed some minutes past 7 in the Minsk airport, where Putin was met by the high ranking officials of the country. The president of Russia was late for an hour for some reasons – the Belarusian officials were waiting for him since 6 p.m.

Taken the salute, Putin drove to the first for several months meeting with Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

The subject of the session of the Supreme State Council of the “union state” on 14 December will be adoption of “union state” budget for 2008. The issues on trade and economic cooperation, concerted actions in the sphere of foreign policy, development of culture and others will be suggested for consideration to the Supreme State Council. It is not excluded that the Constitutional Act of the so called union state will also be considered.
