Rally «For Independent Belarus!” in Warsaw (Photo)

Belarusian students studying in Warsaw on Kalinouski programme marched from Charles de Gaulle Square to the Embassy of Russia.

The participants of the action protested against Vladimir Putin’s visit to Minsk and shouted: “Europe will say no to Putin!” and “Long Live Belarus!”

Anatol, one of the action organisers, said to Radio Svaboda: “We don’t know why Putin is coming to Belarus, but we know Belarus has never had anything good from Russia. Everybody saw, what happened in Minsk yesterday. We express our solidarity with those, who protested against Putin’s visit yesterday, and we’ll fight in spite of everything.”

The action participants burnt a portrait of Putin near the Russian Embassy.
