Action against repeal of benefits in Brest

Two participants of the flash mob against repeal of social benefits – activists of the ”For Freedom!” movement Yury Bakur and Kastus Balagur – were detained in Brest.

As activist of the movement Dzyanis Turchanyak said to BelaPAN, at 1.05 p.m. more than 20 young people stood on the staircase of the main building of Brest State University in silence. They had balloons in their hands, on which “benefits” was written. Then all balloons in the hands of the action participants burst simultaneously.

At about 1.10, when the young people began to disperse, some people in civvies came up to K. Balagur, took him by the arms and without any explanation led him to the car Zhiguly, and made him sit on the backseat by force. The same was done with Yury Bakura, who was also made to sit in the police car.

The detained are in the police department on Savetskaya Street now.
