Zmiter Hvedaruk’s sight failed

Leader of the Young Front Zmiter Hvedaruk will stay in 9th Minsk hospital at least till Wednesday 19 December.
Sight of the youth activist, beaten by riot police on 12 December, has failed. Doctors are going to make an extra examination. It was said earlier that Hvedaruk was to be discharged from the hospital today.
The guy is still suffering form headache, it’s difficult to walk for him. Moreover, the problems with eyes have appeared. “Doctors came in the morning, they made a final tomogram. I will stay in hospital till Wednesday. I tried to read yesterday, but it’s not possible. The eyes are aching. Doctors forbid me to read for 3 weeks,” Zmiter Hvedaruk said to “Radio Racyja”.
It should be reminded, earlier the administration of the hospital was going to discharge Zmiter on 17 December. Relatives and friends of the beaten young Front member are always near him. Many oppositional politicians visited him in hospital, as well as foreign diplomats.
Zmiter Hvedaruk was beaten brutally by the riot police during crackdown of the unauthorised oppositional street action “For Independent Belarus!” in the Minsk center on 12 December. He was taken to 9th hospital with numerous injuries, where he is staying now.
