Lukashenka goes to Venezuela

Alyaksanadr Lukashenka’s official visit to Venezuela is to take place before the year is out, Pavel Lyohki, president’s press-secretary told to BelaPAN. “The visit is to take place in the beginning or in the middle of December. I cannot say exactly when the decision on the flight will be taken,” the press-secretary told.

Besides, the National Exhibition of the Republic of Belarus is to take place in Caracas in December. As informed by the official web-page of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition "Expo Feria "BELARUS-2007" is to take place on December 6-10. According to the information of the Venezuelan Embassy in Belarus, the Venezuelan side undertakes all expenditures for transporting Belarusian goods to Caracas and for installing of equipment. Venezuela is also going to buy all goods exhibited at the trade fair by Belarus.

Meanwhile, Belarusian Embassy is being prepared for opening in Caracas. As said by the head of the pres-service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Maryja Vanshyna to BelaPAN, the Belarusian charge d’affaires ad interim has spent in Venezuela more than a month already, but the exact date of the opening ceremony in the embassy is still unknown.
