Passengers are seen through at Minsk airport

Personal digital X-ray scanner for passengers and luggage inspection, which is able to see forbidden for carriage items even in natural human cavities, was installed at national airport of the country.

“A modern digital X-ray scanner for passengers and luggage inspection was installed at Minsk Airport in late 2007 in three of four terminals. Due to the machine, items forbidden for carriage, can be found even in natural human cavities. It allow also to find not only metal things, but arms made from ceramics,” Valyantin Krylou, consultant on flight operating safety and aviation security from the Aviation Department at the Ministry of Transport, said on the press conference in Minsk.
