Belarus’ external debts have grown $12 billion for year

Foreign debt of Belarus is to grow this year by more than 70%. It results from the latest data in the statistics account of the National bank of Belarus. Joint foreign debt of Belarus was $9676.3 million by October 1, 2007. It has grown by $2935.6 million since the beginning of the year, which is 43.6%.

In the last three months Belarus continued to take loans. For instance, in the last days of the year the county received a huge loan of $1.5 billion from Russia. It means that the aggregate amount of indebtedness based on the results of the year is to exceed $11.5 billion dollars, or even $12 billions, Nasha Niva informs.
