Russian MIGs over Belarus

During the military exercises “Autumn-2008” pilots will create a Belarusian-Russian air attack force, and they will land to the highway Brest-Moscow. The preparations for the exercises are finishing.

As the ONT TV channel informs, on the airfield on the road near the city of Ivatsevichy young pilots are to land together with the experienced ones. They have been trained in the class of flight instruction, then at cockpit mock-ups, and now they are flying at the minimal height over the road.

Belarusian air bases are getting ready to receive planes of Russian military air forces. 12 planes and about 300 Russian military are to re-deploy here. For the period of military exercises in Lida a joint air grouping is created. Pilots of the Russian base in Buturlinovka do not feel as guests here anymore. For more then 10 years Russians are “sworn brothers” of Lida aviators.
