Artur Finkevich, the young leader detained yesterday in Minsk, was taken by riot policemen outside Minsk.

As said by the activist, first riot policemen were moving around the city with him aimlessly, and then they went to Moscow highway and left him there. During the detention riot policemen broke his mobile phone. He went back to the centre of the city by taxi.

As we have informed, the opposition activist was detained on October 16 at 6.30 p.m. in Internacyjanalnaya Street not far from October Square. UAZ car drove up to him, then riot policemen pushed him inside the car and drove away in an unknown direction.

The arrest of the youth leader may be connected with Day of Solidarity, marked in Belarus on October 16. Peaceful actions were held in Minsk on that day in memory of the repressed Belarusians.
