Ukrainian bishop becomes non grata person in Belarus

A bishop Veniamin Brukh, a citizen of Ukraine, was deported from Belarus, as he belongs to the category of persons whose stay on the territory of the country is unwelcome.
“Brukh… hasn’t been allowed by frontier guards to the territory of Belarus, as he belongs to the category of persons whose stay at the territory of the country is unwanted,” Radio Svaboda was told by the spokesperson of the State Frontier Committee Alyaksandr Tsishchanka.
“We do not know the reason why the bishop was put on this list, we have jus executed our work,” Tsishchanka added.
As we have informed, on October 16 Protestant bishop Veniamin Brukh was detained in airport Minsk-2 and placed to the isolation ward for deportees.
Bishop Brukh is a citizen of Ukraine, a founder of “Jesus Christ Church” in Belarus. He was its pastor from 1991 till 2002.
