Alyaksandr Kazulin: “I’d rather be in prison than see what is going on”

Former political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulin said that “Europe stepping the same rake by welcoming Lukashenka with open arms”.

The politician said it at a meeting between the EP’s commission and representatives of Belarusian political parties and non-governmental organisations in Vilnius on October 28, Deutsche Welle reports.

“Europe can step the same rake by imagining it will obtain its result by welcoming Lukashenka with open arms. It is dangerous. The more you hug Lukashenka, the more cynical and brazen he is. Gain something and show that you have gained it. Release of Kazulin and the decisions that were taken are tool little. I’d rather be in prison than see what is going on here. It is very simple to have new political prisoners in the country. There will be ten of them tomorrow – and everything will come to release of political prisoners again,” former presidential candidate Alyaksandr Kazulin said.
