Famous artist Ales Pushkin was brutally beaten up by local hooligans in the village of Bobr (Krupki district), where the artist lives. Aggression was caused by Belarusian language.
Ales Pushkin called militia officers, who detained the hooligans. But ales Pushkin decided not to write a complaint to instigate a criminal case against them, but suggested that they should go to a local church to repent on the next day. All of them went to the church of Bobr for the mystery of confession.
According to the artists he fells better now.
“I feel better, but my chest and kidneys are aching. I also have hematomas on my face, but it is all right,” Ales Pushkin told in an interview to Radio Svaboda.
He told about the events after militia had come.
“I wrote down addresses of these guys, all of them live at station Bobr-4, and one lives in Barysau,” the artist says.
He decided not to demand punishment for the guys, but asked them to go to confession.

I said the militiaman I’d like to give them a chance. We need that our girls marry, we need new houses to be built, trees to be planted. I suggested that they and their parents visit a morning mess at 9.30 on the next day. If they come, they won’t have trial. In other case, I will adopt a role of vengeful hand of Lord,” the artist told.
