Delay of the session of the supreme state council of the “union state” was preceded by exchange of notes of protest between the foreign ministries of Russia and Belarus.

“The ministries of foreign affaires of Russia and Belarus exchanged notes saying about matters the parties agree or do not agree on,” Pavel Kuzemchak, deputy head of representative office of the Standing Committee of the union, told to Interfax. He noted that uncoordinated issues have “insular nature, but we won’t raise them up”.

“Most of the issues are ready, we have only one or two uncoordinated questions. Belarus suggested changes to the agenda, but Russia couldn’t adjust them. They are technical questions, I think the parties will be able to settle them down,” the representatives of the Standing Committee said.

“The Belarusian party has its points of view, the Russian party has its ones,” the deputy head of the Minsk representative office of the Standing Committee said.

P. Kuzemchak told that the agenda contains “a serious military question on creation of the Common Regional Air Defence System”. “The Belarusian side has approved it, now the matter should be approved by the Russian side, too, that hasn’t been done yet,” P. Kuzemchak said.

It should be reminded that Russian Kommersant daily reported that the scheduled for today session of the supreme state council of the “union state” of Russia and Belarus was delayed. Alyaksandr Lukashenka was going to visit the Russian capital in the frames of the session.

The parties didn’t agree on development of the common state and postponed the meeting sine die. Scheduled for today Russian-Belarusian agreement on common air defence system was also delayed.
