“For Freedom” movement registered

Today Justice Ministry of Belarus has given an official registration certificate for “For Freedom” movement to its applicants.

The movement has been registered only after the 4th attempt. In August the Supreme Court of Belarus dismissed the claim against the decision of the Justice Ministry about the denial to register the human rights and educational public association “For Freedom movement”. The ministry analyzed statements and public addresses of Alyaksandr Milinkevich and other representatives of the movement and came to a conclusion that the real aims of foundation and activities of the association do not correspond those stated in the statute.

Then the court disallowed claims of the Ministry. The decision to dismiss the complaint was found on the fact that a person who gave a legal address to them, drew up the documents on legal address with a mistake.
