One of organizers of entrepreneurs’ strike received summons

  • 9.12.2008, 11:57

Local militia is trying to serve a summons to entrepreneur Mikhail Vasilyeu of Barysau.

Militiamen failed to do it before because Mikhail didn’t live on the address he is registered. It is unknown why he is summoned. The only clear thing is that summons is just a ground.

A real reason is the fact that M. Vasilyeu is activist of the non-governmental organization “For Free Development of Business”. In two days, on the International Human Rights Day, entrepreneurs are going to declare their rights by means of the national strike. Vasilyeu actively participates in preparation for this event in the Minsk region. So, it was decided to neutralize and intimidate him ahead of December 10, www.ucpb.org reports.

Strike is not an unauthorized street event, and calling to take part in doesn’t contradict the law.
