Teachers made to register for “White Rus”

Uladzimir Savitski, head master of the secondary school of the village Vezha (Slutsk district) said last Friday after he had visited a conference there was an order obliging teachers of his school to join the “White Rus” party. He gave them weekends to think over it...

The teachers were given filled in application forms on Monday. They needed just to sign them. The head master suggested to choose: “Or you sign the application form for “White Rus” party, or I’ll sign an order for your dismissal.”

As the site www.ucpb.org informs, only a history teacher refused to join the “White Rus” party. She is a young teacher, who is working her compulsory term after university. She probably hoped for a dismissal.

The school staff supposes Uladzimir Savitski was made to “swear allegiance” ahead of election to the “house of representatives.” He probably was given promises that he would receive a deputy mandate if all teachers of his school join the “White Rus” party.

By the way, head master of Hutsuki secondary school prepared filled in application forms for the “White Rus” party for teachers. Teachers of kindergarten from the village Vezha have already become members of the “White Rus.”
