Sidorski: “Gas will cost USD 300 in perspective”

“Gas will cost USD 300 in perspective,” prime minister Syarhei Sidorski said.

A plan of actions on carrying out in 2008 the complex programme on modernisation of energy system main production assets, energy efficiency and increasing of using own fuel and energy resources in the republic for the period until 2011 was examined at the presidium session of the Council of Ministers on 19 February.

“The task is to reduce maximally energy consumption for unit production,” prime minister Syarhei Sidorski said at the session, BelaPAN reports.

As S. Sidorski noted, “Belarusian enterprises should use energy-conserving technology in 2-3 years.” “We have an opportunity to build a new energy system of our enterprises,” the prime minister thinks. “Everyone understands, gas will cost USD 300 per 1000 cu m and energy price will grow in perspective.”
