Alyaksandr Lukashenka has offered a well-known British personality of PR-industry Timothy Bell to work on improving his image of Belarus at the West.
At the meeting with London PR expert A. Lukashenka stated that none of the modern states can do without professional PR-services. “You will like working in Belarus, with the people and authorities id our country. You will be able to see for yourself that Belarus is a real European state,” A. Lukashenka said.
Timothy Bell was a PR adviser of the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. His recent cliets were Russian disgraced tycoon Boris Berezovsky, the Saudi government and the former Prime Minister of Thailand Thaksin Shinawatra.
It looks like the held of the PR adviser of such a level is really needed by the Belarusian leader, especially against the background of another scandal which broke last week between Belarus and the US. As we have informed, Minsk recalled its Ambassador from Washington, and expelled the US Ambassador, protesting against economic sanctions imposed by the US against the state-owned Belneftekhim concern.
It should be added that A. Lukashneka, called “the last dictator in Europe” in the West, is banned from entering the US and the EU because of his authoritarian practices and repressions against political dissenters.
As we have informed, the regime have tried to “improve” their public image in the eyes of the nation. Since the beginning of the campaign in the presidential race in 2006 and to the present day an action “For Belarus” is held in the country.

For Belarus!

Belarus is for development!

Belarus is for independence!
