Picket near Belarusian Embassy in Moscow (photo, video)

An action dedicated to Freedom Day – the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian National Republic, has been held near the Belarusian Embassy in Moscow today, 25 March.

Eduard Glezin, coordinator of the movement “Defence” held a one-man picket in front of the embassy at 11.30am. He had a poster “Freedom Day – Freedom for political prisoners!”with pictures of Andrei Kim, Alyaksandr Kazulin, and Syarhei Parsyukevich, and a number 90 in honour of the anniversary made of white-red-white ribbons. These colours are colours of Belarusian national flag, banned by Alyaksandr Lukashenka, that flag has become a symbol of freedom in the country. Friends of Eduard, who stayed opposite him, supported him.
