According to the information on Monday, Vitsebsk entrepreneur Syarhei Parsyukevich is to stand a criminal trial on 22 April.
“Nasha Niva” learnt it from lawyer Vera Stramkouskaya. The trial begins in the Maskouski district court of Minsk at 12.00pm. The judge is Uladzimer Audzeenka.
Political prisoner Syarhei Parsyukevich was arrested and thrown to the pretrial detention center on Valadarski Street, 4, when he came to investigator Dzmitry Razanka for questioning. A criminal case on the article 364 of the Criminal Code (violence or a threat of violence against militiaman) was instigated against Parsyukevich on 31 January.
The entrepreneur faces up to six years of imprisonment. Andrei Kim is charged according to same article. The accusation resolves itself to the fact that when serving 15 days of arrest, Parsyukevich allegedly beat up sentry Alyaksandr Dulup. The entrepreneur himself claims it was he, who was beaten up.
Vera Stramkouskaya attended Syarhei Parsyukevich in the detention center on 10 April. According to her, warm weather caused asthma aggravation of her client. “Syarhei feels bad, he gasps, he shares a cell with 12 other people, though the cell is designed for 10, which doesn’t make the atmosphere healthier,” V. Stramkouskaya noted.
