Alyaksandr Lukashenka notes the Belarusian state and Latin America countries have similar positions on the issues on creation of a multipolar world and working out an independent development strategy.
“Most Latin American countries share our approaches on creation of a multipolar world, aspiration for independent development strategy,” A. Lukashenka said accepting the credentials from foreign countries’ ambassadors, accrediting in Belarus, Interfax reports.
The head of the Belarusian state said he was interested in development of a political dialog with Brazil, including those on a higher level. “Though we have positive dynamics of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the potential (of a political dialog) are not fully exploited,” he said.
As BelTA reports, Lukashenka thinks “Belarus has rather good relations with Mexico.” He expressed readiness for wider cooperation between Belarus and this country in all international organisations. “I hope, the coming signing of bilateral agreements will create a necessary legal base for building of bilateral economic ties,” he said.
Accepting credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador to Belarus (combined office) Patricio Alberto Chavez Zavala, Alexander Lukashenko remarked: “We are ready for establishing long-term political and economic partnership with Ecuador. There are good prospects for it. The establishment of an interstate dialogue at the top level is undoubtedly able to give an effective boost to the development of versatile cooperation between our countries”.
