Ukrainian Mass Media: Lukashenka can arrive to Ukraine on Friday

Alyjaksandr Lukashenka can visit Ukraine to meet the government on June 27. I”Ukrainski Novyny” has been informed by a source in Ukrainian Embassy in Poland.

According to the source, Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko cancelled the visit to Poland planned for June 27 in connection with the possible visit of Lukashenka to Ukraine. “It was impossible to be in the two places simultaneously,” the source said.

The interlocutor added that he saw no other reasons for cancelation of the visit but this one.

It has been announced recently that Ohryzko cancelled a visit to Poland planned for June 27. It has been informed in the Embassy that the Minister cancelled the visit in connection with a necessity to deal with other important matters.

In May Ukrainian president Viktor Yushchenko and Alyaksandr Lukashenka agreed to hold a meeting before June 14.

In February Belarus addressed Ukraine with a proposal to restart export of electricity into the country.
