On the Day of Solidarity July 16 a rally-performance with a demand to release political prisoners was held in Minsk.

In the evening a column of “European Belarus” campaign activists appeared on the crossing of Independence Avenue and Kazlou Street. Some of them were handcuffed; others held their hands on naps. Their legs were roped. They have portraits of political prisoners at their chests. The column was guarded by young people with toy guns. By orders they made participants to hurry. One of the ‘guards’ had a uniform of a riot policeman on.

The march finished on Yakub Kolas Square.
