Communists to participate in electoral farce till the end

The Belarusian party of Communists has denied boycotting the election” and will take part in the “electoral campaign” till the end. Such a decision has been adopted by the party congress on August 10 in Minsk.

“The election platform has been agreed upon. A decision has been taken that the party will take part in the election till the end. We haven’t supported the idea of the boycott. The congress has unanimously adopted the decision to go all the way”. The press-secretary of the party Syarhei Vaznyak said in an interview to the European Radio.

The party event is dedicated to the problems of elations. Candidates for deputies of the “chamber of representatives” are nominated there. As noted by S. Vaznyak, the party nominates 18 candidates. All of them are nominated by collection of signatures. And 12 would-be candidates have already collected the necessary number of signatures. However, in the regions where party branches exist, oppositional Communists would run a supporting action to their candidates by party nomination as well.
