Anatol Lyabedzka: “Chances for withdrawal of democratic candidates increase”

“Almost no representatives of the democratic forces of Belarus get into election commissions,’ the BelaPAN was told by the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka.

“We have only partial information about make-up of precinct commissions still. But the tendency is much worse that when forming district electoral commissions. For instance, in Barysau none of the representatives of the United Democratic Forces was included in precinct election commissions,” the political said.

A. Lyabedzka underlined that “a minimal presence of the UDF in precinct commissions “increase withdrawal of democratic candidates”. “If odd bits of information would be confirmed, if would be possible to say that there won’t be democratic elections in Belarus, and deputies will be appointed, not elected,” he noted.

The United Democratic Forces of Belarus have nominate more that 1,300 persons to precinct election commissions.
