Only 2 out of 150 BPF representatives became members of Minsk precinct commissions

Only 2 out of 150 persons nominated by the Belarusian Popular Front party have been confirmed as members if precinct election commissions in Minsk.

They are Alyaksandra Klimovich, who has become a member of a commission at the precinct No. 541 of Eastern constituency No. 107, where Vintsuk Vyachorka is nominated as a candidate; and Anastasiya Mikhajlava, who is approved as a member of the commission of precinct No. 284 of South-Western constituency No. 99, where Yuras Karetnikau is nominated.

“I consider that to be a travesty of democracy and transparency principles,” said the deputy chairman of the Minsk city organisation of the Belarusian Popular Front party Vadzim Kanapatski. “Only 2 out of 150 persons have been approved. Te regime has shown once again its pathologic inability to get rid of total control over the elections process”.
