Delegation of Belarusian Foreign Ministry in Libya strengthens links with Non-Aligned Movement

A delegation of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus headed by the deputy Minister Viktar Hajsyonak visits Tripoli, Libya on August 18-20.
As informed by the press-service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, consultations between the Foreign Ministry of Belarus and the Chief People’s Committee on external ties and international cooperation of Libya took place August 18.
During the talks “the whole range of issues of the Belarusian-Libyan cooperation was discussed”. The sides defined “perspective directions of cooperation in trade and economic sphere”, discussed “possibilities of expanding the legal and contractual basis of bilateral relations”.
The Belarusian and Libyan sides “expressed satisfaction over the existing level of cooperation and mutual support in international organisations, confirmed intention to continue cooperation in the framework of the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement”.
Besides, meeting of the head of the Belarusian delegation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Libya Abderrahman Shalgam and Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Kaim took place. They discussed “some areas of cooperation between Belarus and Libya”.
