Fight in Minsk: Paratroopers against riot policemen (Photo, Video)

On August 2 on Airborne forces Day a fight of policemen and paratroopers took place in Minsk.

A few dozens of paratroopers tried to come near the monument of Internationalists-soldiers at the Island of Tears in Traetskaye suburb. Riot policemen split the column in two parts: one part was blocked in Traetskaye suburb, while the other near the bridge. The fight took place there. As a result of it, about 10 persons were detained, Radio Svaboda informed.

As said by eyewitnesses, the new Minsk Riot police commander Yury Karaeu was on the scene as well.
