The editor-in-chief of Rechytsa regional newspaper “Dnyaprovets” offered a candidate for deputy Leanid Nevar to rework his election speech prepared for publication in a newspaper.
As the BelaPAN was told by L. Nevar, the editor-in-chief didn’t like the phrases “officials of regional and district levels lie to people” and “corruption has become an integral part of life”.
“I can prove my words by documents in the court. It is not a secret for anybody how many corruption crimes are taking place here,” L. Nevar said.
The editor-in-chief of “Dnyaprovets” Ihar Syarheeu noted in an interview to the BelaPAN that issues of legality of such statements of the candidate for deputy should be decided by the CEC, while the editor-in-chief keeps to the Electoral Code and its norms.
