Voters ask Lyabedzka to withdraw from “election”: “We will demonstrate our vote at Square”

A letter from a dweller of Staravilenski Minsk constituency #105 was sent to the head of the United Civil Party.

Dear Mr Anatol,

I, Krautsova Iryna, put my signature in support of Your candidature as an MP. I believe Your candidature is worthy and good. I support Your intentions, views and aspirations. But in view of the current situation in the country, and in particular, this “election campaign”, I think, it would be more correct to withdraw all democratic candidates.at other “parliamentary election” I voted for You and other democratic forces. I think, boycott will be more useful this time than my vote, which will formally confirm my recognition of the regime and will be “given” to N. L. Samaseika (chairman of the Tsentralny district court of Minsk – note of the Charter’97), who sentences to arrests friends of my minor daughter.

I repeat, I support You and other democratic candidates, but I won’t go to the oncoming “election”. I ask to respect my position. I will demonstrate my vote at Square and will demand holding of new, free, and transparent election. Thanks for Your persistence and work, You have done during this campaign. But, in my view, further running in it is inappropriate. I ask Your understanding and possible support!
