People’s artiste of Belarus Zinaida Bandarenka thinks this “election campaign” can’t be called democratic, so the Belarusians’ must demand new, really free election.

“People are made to vote, but a list of candidates is approved by the authorities. It is known for most people,” Zinaida Bandarenka told in an interview to the Charter’97 press center.

In her view, the Belarusians should come to October Square of Minsk on September 38 to protest against falsification.

“Of course, protest is needed. I always attend meetings and rallies,” the people’s artiste of Belarus said.

Zinaida Bandarenka also thinks the political situation in Belarus needs better covering, people don’t receive enough information.

“People need to know what is going on in the country. We should go to the Square, not sit in kitchens,” Ms Zinaida thinks.
