A picket of protest against rigging if the results of the “parliamentary election” in the country, scheduled for September 28, was held in Moscow near the Belarusian embassy on September 27.
About 10 activists of Oborona, Smena movements, and Belarusian Initiative movement took part in the action, Sobkor@ru reports.
Slogans “Long Live Belarus!” and “Your Election is Farec!” were ehard at the action. The participants carried posters with a portrait of Lukashenka and text “We’ll serve two masters for a penny!” and “Multi-Vector Policy”.
The participants of the picket made a ballot box from makeshift riot militia shields, symbolising “police regime” in the country, ballots were made out of toilet paper. The activists handed around leaflets with text of the statements on farcical character of the oncoming “election” in Belarus, containing an appeal to the Russian government, the European Union and the US asking not to recognise the “election” results and not to believe in democratic “election” in Lukashenka’s style.
It should be reminded that the “election” for the “house of representatives” is scheduled for September 28. One of the opposition leaders Alyaksandr Kazulin in sure the oncoming “parliamentary election” will be “another farce” and Belarusian ruler Alyaksandr Lukashenka will “appoint the needed MPs”, though the opposition could have been able to count on half of seats in the parliament if the “election” had been free.
