Lukashenka: “Opposition top won’t get to parliament. I prefer skiing in the east”

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has said today at the polling station he wouldn’t allow opposition leaders to the “house of representatives”.
According to him, “if we hold this election in normal way, the West is ready to recognise and have an unbiased glance at Belarus.” Lukashenka emphasised that “we carry on this election for ourselves, for our state and people.” “It is hardly possible to name another country where the elections are held as the West wants,” the president of Belarus said.
Commenting on words of Belarusian opposition leader Alyaksandr Kazulin, who said Lukashenka had released him from prison to solve Lukashenka’s visa problems and his desire to ski in Switzerland, Lukashenka said: “I has never been going to ski in Switzerland. I prefer skiing in the East, not in the West.”
Alyaksandr Lukashenka also noted that constructive opposition, but “not the top of the today’s opposition”, should be present in the “parliament”.
Answering the questions of Ukrainian journalists why people in Belarus don’t know their MPs, unlike people in Ukraine, A. Lukashenka told: “Let God save us from the Ukrainian variant.” “We have more than 300 candidates, how can one remember all?” he said.
