The most popular LJ-community of Belarus Minsk_by is closed.

As Electroname.com reports, the visitors can just read a standard message: “This journal has been deleted. If you are minsk_by, you have a period of 30 days from the deletion time to undelete the journal. After 30 days we will delete all content permanently from our servers. If you want to rename your account to this username, sign up to receive a notification once it becomes available.”

Judging by reactions of the moderators, this came as a surprise for them. Attempts to find out a reason of deleting are being made.

Some days ago, there was a conflict between community friends and moderator petra_leleka, who, some community friends think, was rather rude in her appraisal of Minsk city. The offended blogger tried to block the community with spam. As a result, pre-moderation was set for an indefinite term.

One of the moderators aller may have decided to remind about his birthday in such a way.

UPD. As active LJ-users say, an alternative community Minsk_be has been created to discuss Minsk.

Another popular Belarusian community minsk_news posts another version of the incident – they say minsk.by was closed down by the State Security Committee (KGB).
