Administration must change its work style – Lukashenka

Appointing first deputy head and deputy head of the President’s Administration, Alyaksandr Lukashenka emphasised the Administration must change its work style.

“The Administration must change its work style. It must become a real staff of president,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka stressed. The Administration should also perform some functions of other governmental bodies, correcting their mistakes.

A question of personnel adequacy for posts must be raised, if the proposals and documents they introduce to the head of state are not prepared in due way, and candidatures for responsible posts do not have necessary business and moral qualities. Lukashenka also set tasks for head of the Administration Uladzimir Makei.

The Belarusian ruler emphasised personnel management and ideology remain the main question.

Natallya Pyatkevich was ordered to control all ideological work in the country. “No formalism and idle talks, as it can be seen at days of information. It is even worse than doing nothing!” Lukashenka noted.

He also set a task to turn special attention to work of mass media. “We are witnessing some kind of a set-back here, even stagnation of some mass media outlets,” he noted.
