The Embassy of Poland is going to refer the Belarusian authorities asking to explain the statements of the Ministry of Education about education institution for national minorities.

As “Nasha Niva” newspaper reminds, on October 22, news agencies spread extracts from a speech of deputy minister of education Alyaksandr Zhuk, who said that Belarus wouldn’t create special schools for national minorities and “only two state languages can be languages of instruction in Belarusian schools”.

According to Pawel Marczuk, the first secretary of the Poland’s diplomatic mission in Belarus, the embassy will address the Belarusian authorities to know the exact meaning of Zhuk’s remarks.

“We do not have the full version of the interview, only some extracts from news agencies. We would like to know what the first deputy minister of education of Belarus wanted to say exactly,” Marczuk noted.
