Anatol Lyabedzka detained on Belarusian-Lithuanian border

The leader of the United Civil Party was searched at Kamenny Lokh border checkpoint.

As the website ucpb.org reports, the politicians made a working visit to Lithuania.

“My car and personal things were searched again,” Anatol Lyabedzka said. “There are many talks about the so called liberalization, but in actual fact, no changes are seen. If the Belarusian authorities want to break my working schedule in such a way, it’s not the best attempt. Lithuanian border guards understand the absurd of the situation and allow me to jump the queue.”

We note that representatives of the Belarusian opposition often meet personal search by Belarusian border guards.
