Record-breaking decrease of Belarusian export

Since the beginning of the year volume of foreign trade of Belarus with many countries have dropped more than 2 times.

Over the 9 months of this year volume of foreign trade of Belarus has declined. Export to all the countries have decreased by 43.3% as compared to the same period of the last year, and was equal to $15 billion 9.1 million, import by 34.8% (and reached $20 billion 30.4 mln), BelaPAN informs.

Over this period Belarus traded with 176 countries. Goods were sold at markets of 135 states, products from 167 countries were imported. Major trade partners of Belarus were: Russia – 47% of the total trade turnover, the Netherlands – 7.9%, Germany – 6.2%, Ukraine – 5.9%, Latvia – 3.5%, Poland – 3.3%, China – 2.5%, the Great Britain – 2.1%, Italy – 1.7%, Brasilia and India – 1.4% each.

Export to Russia was $4 billion 729 million, which is 44.8% less than over the nine months of the last year; import from Russia 11 billion 748.9 million (-38.6%).

Goods exported to the Netherlands for a sum of $2 billion 618 million, which is 39.5% less than over the nine months of the last year; imported for $162.4 million (40.8% less).

Export trade volume to Ukraine was $2 billion 618 million (39.5% less than the last year); import was $895.4 million (45.9% less).

Goods for 634.3 min were exported to Germany in January-September (by 0.4% less), imported for $1 billion 534.4 mln (by 24%).

Export to Poland was $603 mln (by 60.9% less), import -- $546.2 million (by 35.8%).

The volume of export to the Great Britain was $570.8 mln (by 50% less), import – $162.3 mln (by 15.8%).

Volume of export to China was $128.9 mln (by 59.4% less), import — $751.5 mln (by 24.7%).

Products for $1 billion 140.2 mln were exported to Latvia (by 34.8% less), imported — $87.1 mln (by 18.2%). Figures in the trade with Lithuania were respectively $ 242.7 mln (by 51.2% less) and 138 mln (by 15.6%).

Export to the US was $29.2 mln (by 76.2% less), import — by 319.4 mln (by 12.6% less).

Export to India over the nine months increased by 1.9 times and reached $405.7 mln, import — decreased by 8% and reached $78.1 mln.
