Lukashenka’s granddaughter enters pioneer organization (Photo)

Pupils of a Minsk gymnasium joined the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization on Wednesday.

As STV television channel reports, the solemn ceremony in the Palace of Republic was timed to the Year of Native Land. The joining ceremonies are usually held later, but the gymnasium pupils, among them granddaughter of the Belarusian ruler Viktoria Lukashenka, decided to do this ahead of schedule, the TV channel reports.

Lukashenka’s granddaughter was laconic before TV cameras:

– We have become pioneers today. This is very important for us. We will perform our duties.

Viktoria, Viktor Lukashenka’s daughter, appears in public sometimes. She already had a role in a Belarusian comedy film “On the back of a Black Cat'”.

We remind that the pioneer movement is still active in Belarus. Unlike the soviet pioneers, children wear not red but red and green scarves, the colour of Lukashenka’s flag.
