District militia officer shot himself dead in Minsk

An official version of the accident hasn’t been called yet. A body of the district militiamen was found near a nursery school in the morning April 15.

Passers-by could see an awful scene in the morning – a group of militiamen and experts on the nursery school sporting ground in Minsk was standing near the dead body, regionby.org reports.

According to witnesses, they saw much blood – the man shot himself in head. Children could get in school through service entrance.

The district militia officer of the Savetski district militia department died at night April 15, according to preliminary information, he used his government-issue weapon to shoot himself. The tragedy happened twenty meters from the militia department.

Militia tried not to make this accident open to public. The official media do not give any information about the tragedy, there is still no official version about the accident.

The colleagues of the killed man say he had worked more than 10 years in militia, and they don’t know what made him commit suicide.
