The Europeans state Belarus still remains unattractive for tourists.
Norbert Schiffer, representative of the he Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), is going to attract British tourists to Turau town. He shared his thoughts about tourism in Belarus in an interview to “Turizm i Otdykh” newspaper.
“Unfortunately, Belarus is a very expensive country according to my estimations. Flight from London to Minsk costs the same as one to New York, it’s rather expensive. Those who don’t know Russian must have an accompanying person, otherwise it would be impossible to organize something here as few people in your country speak foreign languages, especially in regions. Visa fees are also high for the British people.”
Norbert Schiffer has learnt by his experience holidays in Belarus cost more than holidays on many exotic islands.
“My family and I calculated that a two-week vacation on Seychelles islands is cheaper than two-week travel around Belarus. Of course, there are enough people in Europe ready to pay much money for travelling, but they really expect high level of comfort and services.”
