Ivan Shyla got in disciplinary cell for using mobile phone

Deputy head of “Young Front”, unlawfully drafted into the army, was strictly punished for using a mobile phone.

It should be noticed that due to the fact information about Ivan Shyla’s punishment had leaked to media, a public pay phone was repaired in the military unit. Soldiers could only write letter to their relatives and friends as the phone was out of order, “Nasha Niva” writes.

Shyla was expelled from Salihorsk secondary school #14 on political grounds last year. School mistress Volha Syankova dismissed from school in protest. The youth activist was forcefully called up for military service in February 2009.

Other youth activists were also drafted into the army forcefully.
